Extra ceramic media can be added to your Reef One aquarium. This willincrease the area available for biological filtration and makes iteasier to anchor plants into position.
Ceramic media is a manmade material with a massive surface area for housing beneficialbacteria which activates the biological filtration within youraquarium. Adding more increases the surface area available for bacteriacolonisation which enhances biological filtration. Ceramic media willnot alter the water ph.
TIP: It is not obligatory to replace theceramic media, but if you wish to change the media you should do sogradually, in stages, and not
- baby biOrb needs only 1 box of 450 gr
- biOrb 30L needs just 2 boxes of 450 gr
- biOrb 60L needs for sure 2 boxes of 450 gr
- biUbe 35L needs at least 2 boxes of 450 grall at once. Changing the media gradually allows the existing filterbacteria to move across and colonise the new media from the old.
